As a corporate valuation consultant to asset-based lenders and equity sponsor groups, Karthik focuses on identifying and quantifying lendable value in intangible assets and other asset classes in middle market companies spanning a myriad of industries. He also advises on the purchase, sale, and financing of intangible assets.
Previously, Karthik was a co-founder of Great American Group's Corporate Valuation Services group. Prior to that, he was a principal of a Chicago-based fundless sponsor team that originated and closed the carveout of an apparel company from a major conglomerate. Before that, he co-led Hilco Enterprise Valuation Services, LLC. He has also been an investment banking associate with Soundview Technology Group and worked in research and development, process engineering, marketing, and sales with Goodyear Chemical, a division of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.
Karthik holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

A seasoned valuation consultant, Jeff has prepared numerous valuations for large and small businesses, for various purposes, including financial reporting, tax, management planning, lending, corporate restructuring, M&A and strategic decision-making.
Prior to Obsidian Edge, Jeff served as Great American Group's financial valuation practice leader for the Midwest and Northeast regions. Before Great American Group, Jeff was a vice president in Duff & Phelp's Valuation Services group where he performed valuations for financial reporting and gift and estate tax purposes. Jeff has served as a member of Hilco Enterprise Valuation Services, LLC, and as a financial consultant at Deloitte and Arthur Andersen. He has also been a technology consultant for a software startup designing and implementing enterprise CRM systems.
Jeff holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, a master of accountancy from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor of science in accounting from Bradley University. Jeff is also a CFA charterholder and certified public accountant.
